In the Pacific Ocean, there is a field of plastic debris as large as the United States and as deep as 300 feet! Its caused by you and I and our bad habits in the form of throw away disposable plastics. Its called the Pacific Garbage Patch. Http://www.pacificgarbagepatchcleaner.org The field is growing everyday and one of the single biggest contributors is single-use plastics bags! Its time we join other countries around the world and ban these environmental nightmares! China,Italy,Australia, Bangladesh have already done so! We create hundreds of billions of new bags each year ending up in landfills and the Sea! Senator Jamie Eldridge of Massachusetts has proposed bill H729 to ban them in the state of Massachusetts! I completely 100% support this important effort and hope you will too! Please contact your local government, congressmen and Senators and ask to help bring this and other bills into law!
